We are committed to respecting your privacy in the Internet community. In safeguarding your privacy, we support these four principles* of Internet Privacy:

• Notification The following information may be collected and maintained about you depending on which part(s) of the site you use.: 1)name, 2)password, 3)email address, 4)identifying cookie (see below), and occasionally 5)browsing preferences (colors, etc.) although this if largely obsolete and been disabled. All information is used to provide unique presentations of content and allows you to post messages to the message boards. (Someone who does not log-in cannot post a message; someone else cannot post a message with your identity). Our web server logs all URLs visited on our site. This information is used for site operations only, and is only persistent in cycled server logs (and backup tapes of the system). Basically, we tweak our performance with the way people use the site.
• Choice If you choose not to register, certain features of this site will not be available to you. Sorry, but thats how it is. In particular, the email card and posting of a message will not work.
• Security Collected information is protected by a proprietary system. It will never be given away or sold without your permission. Although WebJibe has gone out of business, the information was not destroyed, since the web site remained active. Basically, we are protecting your email address -- its not like we have your credit card number.
• [deprecated] Access You can review the collected information at any time by selecting your statistics. You can change your information by re-joining, although it is recommended that you shut down your browser and restart to assure that no old information is cached. Now, since there is no changeable information (preferences were disabled due to no one using them), there is no longer a user statistic page.

About Our Cookies

   There are two cookies generated on this site, and a cookie no longer used (stale?). Again, this depends on the parts of the site which you visit. We prohibit third party cookies. The cookies and effected content (i.e., which part of the site care about which cookie) are:

1. [all]oneofthemad cookie automatically generated by our web server and used to provide continuous QOS (Quality of Service -- the 'keep alive' connection);
   
2. [mad fables]mad cookie is generated when someone logs-in and provides a way for us to provide a simple control for adding comments and messages. It dies when you close the browser, and is not stored in the user cookie cache. Not many people used this -- I guess the message interface was too clumsy -- so it kind of dropped by the wayside, but this cookie had a revival (twice baked?) as it was used by band members for commenting on performance tapes;
